U lost a 20 year comster i played 500 $ and got one drink one *** drink and when u hit u get nothing them over 70 *** spine in a *** row with out nothing dont waste your time coming i will never come back and even giving up my free rooms and giving up 20 years of coming here im so disappointed in virgin river i will never be back ever and *** john brooks the old elvis *** at Casablanca cant sing cant danve time they fire his *** and his fat ugly wife *** Casablanca and virgin river

I was waiting for my disabled grandfather to come out when i get verbally attacked by the sercurity guard named jim. He proceeded to ask for my id like he was a cop and treated me like a criminal. Never in my life have i experienced such disrespect from a business. I will never be going back and i would recommend no one ever come to this horrible establishment.

Removal from casino

During the National football league one of the Bingo agents and I had a disagreement about the players predominately black standing for the National anthem respecting our flag. I am a 30 year medicaly retired veteran with an amputated leg. This person named Daniel called me racist which I felt quite offended. Floor manager named Marci was summoned and I told her I would handle the problem. There was also an incident were I admitted saying something about a afro American playing bingo nothing personal just a stupid statement on my part. Some person from security asked me if I made this comment and I said yes and also stated we all say dumb things and I was sorry for it, The next week or so went by and two security guards acting like gestapos came into the bingo hall and' made a big scene telling me I was banned from all of the Casino. I thought we lived in a Democracy but was never asked why I was being thrown out. You can ask plenty people working at the casino from buffet people, cocktail waitress people in the bingo hall and they will tell you I am not racist and I am married to a Spanish person. We treated our prisoners of war better than I was treated. By the way being an amputee with walker both gestapos never offered to open a door while being escorted out of the casino GREAT AMERICAN SECURITY GUARDS. :

MOLD in room

We were part of the block of rooms purchased for the Super Run crew. Thought it was just my husband and myself that experienced reactions to staying in room. But others in our group in other rooms experienced similar reactions to include but not limited to headaches, nausea, sore throats, ect. All symptoms attributed to mold. The bathroom molding was not only loose but water oozed out and you could see where stains on the floor and walls had been covered up. The air conditioner had a foul smell. We are home now and still feeling the effects from the weekend. We don't want any other patrons to have this experience. It was not just ground floor units these issues were spread throughout all buildings and floors.

While at the buffet at the Virgin River, we asked Jared the Sous Chef if there was anything safe for my mom who's deathly allergic to Shell fish on the buffet. Not only did he take the time to discuss our options, but he also personally took the time to prepair a special dish of safe food for her. He was awesome, greatly appreciated!Like

This place is a complete joke. The hotel is in poor shape, example the roof leaks after a rain. The casino is a complete joke, tight, dirty and smells. Toti needs to wake up and quick counting his money and stop killing this town. Have never seen a town like Mesquite go from a beautiful fun place to a *** hole in such a short time. There is a lot of people here that feel the same way I do.

I am an Atkins lifer. That means, I am consistently on the Atkins diet also known as a low-carbohydrate diet. Low-carb diets have steadily grown in popularity and many restaurants and fast food places have learned not only to accommodate for this diet but to offer choices specifically designed for the low-carber. But not the River Cafe Coffee Shop at the Virgin River Hotel & Casino in Mesquite, Nevada. I stopped there early Monday morning (August,10,2015) about 12:30 am to order some hamburger patties with bacon. $46.96 for 4 cheeseburger patties with grilled onions, mushrooms and bacon. When I complained and asked why it was so expensive, the supervisor (a young woman) told me that they HAD to charge me for the entire bacon cheeseburger meal even though I would be getting no fries or hamburger buns. She also informed me that there was no button on their cash register for single cheeseburger patties. ($46.00 means each Bacon Cheeseburger meal was approximately $11.00! The River Cafe is not a steak house.) I had already promised dinner to a friend and decided to pay the outrageous price. The bacon, mushroom cheeseburgers were very good but they still were not worth $46.00! I find it hard to believe that their cash register does not have a miscellaneous button that can be used for charging things like extra bread, single patties and side orders. Why not try to accommodate the customer? The supervisor acted like there was NOTHING she could possibly do for me. I basically paid for something that I did not get. Next time I will get the fries and the hamburger buns and feed the birds with them. Shame on you, Virgin River! Update your cash registers, and train your employees to accommodate the customer. That is the last time I eat at the Virgin River Cafe.

Or just don't eat there since it is you that wants something they do not provide. They have a set menu, and I am sure they can make certain changes, but when you want the meal and have it customized, just like BK, you're gonna pay the same price to have it your way.

That's true. Why go back to a store if they treat you poorly?

Just don't shop there anymore. Why use the same product again if you don't like it? Just buy something different. Why employ the same service?

Just hire someone different next time. What's the point in complaining? Why even have a website designed to hear people's complaints and thereby attempt to improve the consumer world? You could make the argument you left in your comment for 99% of the reviews on this site.

It's a silly argument is my point.

You are wrong about the customization too. You are comparing Burger King with an actual cafe. Fast food places often have food pre-made and compartmentalized for speedy service.

To request any customization would be a bigger chore for a fast food place than in a restaurant where most items are made fresh and they are used to people ordering food in specialized ways. A cafe's number one goal is not speedy service like that of a FAST food restaurant.

Also you are not considering tipping (that’s not a city in China). I would ask for customization at BK and no one would expect a tip but at a cafe the waitress and cooks live off of tips and I always tip for good service.

The price of an order at Burger King compared to a dinner at a cafe is very different. So, if I am paying lots more, I expect lots more. Have you ever heard BK's slogan? It's, "Have It Your Way!" It's not "Have It Your Way and Pay More for it!" I guess your views are different.

You must expect poorer service if you are paying more or less product for more money. Do you live on Mars?

There are only a few places to eat where I live and it would be nice to have a variety. Besides, the other casino cafes have accommodated me before without charging me an arm, so why can't the Virgin River?

Anyways, PissedConsumer and websites like it are providing an open environment for people to share their views and stories of poor customer service and fraud. I am informing people that if they choose to visit the Virgin River Cafe, they are not going to get much accommodation for special needs. What's wrong with that?

If you've got a stick up your butt or a vendetta against the world do me a favor and go stick your foot in your mouth on someone else's review please. Thanks.

Mike the pit boss

My husband and I play at the Virgin River a lot. Last week a couple on our table asked for a room and we asked for one too. He came back and said yes there are plenty of rooms avail. and gave them one and said everyone on the table was taken care of. I knew that couldn't be true as he never asked for my card. Id try to call him over and he would just point at me like got ya. On his lunch break I asked the other pit boss (nice lady) she took my card and then came back and said Mike would handle it when he came back. He then comes up to me and said do you want a room? He knew that already because I would not of ordered another drink. He said he'd give me a discount on a room. This is the same guy that said to the other couple "we have plenty of rooms". hey you don't owe me anything but when you tell me yes and I feel its safe to have a drink. I really enjoyed playing there and did so quite often but won't again. Guess it's back to Eureka.
